• Motion blur or very low resolution — a soft edge can't be cut cleanly. The fix is at capture, not after.

What to do after the background is gone

A cut-out on white is marketplace-legal, but it can look like it's floating. Adding a shadow grounds the product and reads as a deliberate studio shot. If the fabric is creased, run unwrinkle first so you aren't preserving folds into a clean image. And if you need the garment on a person rather than on white, the same photo converts directly with flat lay to model — worth knowing, because for adult apparel on Amazon US a plain product shot isn't accepted as the main image at all.
