Shot #40 has to match shot #1

Most AI photo tools sell you one image at a time. CatalogX's tools chain — generate, correct, expand, enhance — and every link re-anchors on the product photo you uploaded at the start. That is what keeps a hundred-SKU catalogue looking like one catalogue.

The chain

One garment photo, five links

These are the real buttons, in the order a seller presses them. Nothing here is a roadmap item.

Why it holds

Anchoring is a plumbing decision, not a promise

"Consistent across your catalogue" is easy to write on a landing page. Here is the mechanism that actually produces it.

What a chained step does

  • Loads the product photos you uploaded, stored server-side at the size you sent them — not the small review thumbnail.
  • Sends them to the model as references alongside the image being changed, so the true colour and the true print are in front of it at every step.
  • Restores the shoot's structured settings — garment type, hem length, drape, background, lighting, pose, resolution — recorded as data when the image was made.
  • Carries the garment vocabulary the pipeline works hardest to hold steady, so an edit cannot quietly "tidy" a hem or a drape away.

What re-uploading does

  • Sends a second file, which is usually a re-export: recompressed, resized, sometimes white-balanced by whatever app it passed through.
  • Gives the model no memory of the first shoot, so the print is re-interpreted rather than reproduced.
  • Hands you an empty form. Every setting you do not re-pick falls back to a default — and the defaults are not what you chose last time.
  • Drifts silently. Nothing errors. Shot #40 just does not look like shot #1, and you find out at listing time.

This is not hypothetical: the structured settings record exists precisely because expansion shots used to fall back to the wizard's default background, lighting and garment type, and so did not match the shot they were expanding.

The economics

Every step, every number

One credit is one generated image at HD. Nothing below is estimated.

Your monthly allowance is 15 credits on Starter (₹299/mo), 55 on Pro (₹849/mo) and 250 on Business (₹3,000/mo). Unused credits roll over while the subscription is active, up to three months' worth. Full detail on the pricing page.

Worked example

One SKU, end to end

A kurti with a print that has to survive. Five images, one of them at 2K for the hero slot.

Generate the first shot at HD, in Virtual Try-On1 credit
Edit it — "full length sleeves, keep everything else"1 credit
Send it to the Ecommerce Pack as the hero and take Standard — four more angles4 credits
Enhance the hero to 2K for the listing's main image2 credits
File the set into a project, cut the backgrounds, export at each marketplace's size, compress under the cap0 credits
Five deliverable images, one of them 2K8 credits

Cheaper variant: choose 2K up front and skip step four. Enhance is priced at what it renders, so it is worth using only when you did not know in advance which shot would be the keeper — which, for most sellers, is most of the time.

Why it matters

The gap nobody else fills

Single-image generation is a solved, commoditised problem. Producing a hundred SKUs that look like one brand is not.

🔗

The chain, not the button

An edit button is table stakes. What is rare is an edit that still has your original product photo and your original shoot settings in hand — which is the difference between a correction and a re-roll.

🎨

Colour and print survive the trip

Every step re-reads the pixels you uploaded rather than the model's memory of them. Colourway accuracy is the thing catalogue sellers complain about most, and it is won by construction or not at all.

📦

Built for the fortieth SKU

The tools that matter at scale — bulk runs, batch review, projects, ZIP export with a manifest, the API — are the same pipeline, not a separate product. Most AI photo tools have no batch workflow at all.

🧾

Priced so you can iterate

HD is one credit, so exploring is cheap. Corrections are one credit, so fixing beats re-rolling. The finishing tools are free, so shipping costs nothing. The expensive things are expensive only where they genuinely cost more.

🔒

No silent overcharges

A resolution your plan does not include is clamped down and billed at what was actually rendered. A failed generation refunds its credits. A video is quoted and approved before a credit moves.

The loop closes

Reuse inputs takes any finished image back to the start of the chain with everything it was made from. The next colourway, the next size run, next season's re-shoot — all one click from work you already approved.

Competitor batch capability re-verified 12 September 2026.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The first shot is 1 credit at HD, 2 at 2K and 4 at 4K. An edit is 1 credit. Each extra pose in a pack is 1 credit at HD, and the same 2K/4K multipliers apply. Enhancing a keeper is 2 credits to 2K and 4 credits to 4K. Filing into a project is free, and so is every finishing tool — background removal, HD Upscale, marketplace export, beautify, compress, blur background and the Catalog Card builder.

Because the model never has to guess twice. When you generate, CatalogX stores the product photos you uploaded at full size, alongside the structured settings of that shoot — garment type, hem length, drape, background, lighting, pose and resolution. Every later step re-sends those same stored originals as references. Re-uploading instead means a second file that has usually been re-exported, re-compressed or white-balanced differently, and a form where you re-pick every setting from memory — and anything you forget silently falls back to a default.

No, and we would rather say so. Enhance is priced at the resolution it renders, not at the difference from what you already have, because it is a second full generative render rather than a top-up of the first. Deciding the resolution up front is always the cheaper path. Enhance exists so you can iterate cheaply at HD and pay the higher price only on the one image you are actually going to ship.

It renders at 2K and bills at 2K. 4K is available on Business and above; Pro caps at 2K. A request that arrives from a stale page or a hand-edited form is clamped down rather than failed after you have waited, and you are never charged for pixels you did not receive.

Part of it. The Agent can chain up to five actions in one instruction across try-on, edit, colour variant, unwrinkle, AI shadow, upscale, background removal, beautify, blur background, drop shadow, the Catalog Card, and video on Business — and the output of one action can be the input of the next. The Ecommerce Pack expansion and the resolution Enhance are not among its tools; those you run yourself from the result. When the Agent does run a tool it calls the same endpoint the wizard does, so credits, plan gates and the fidelity check all apply unchanged.

No. HD Upscale is a free Lanczos resample — it makes the file bigger and adds no detail that was not already there. Enhance is a fresh generative render at 2K or 4K, anchored on the image plus its stored product references, so genuine detail is added while the garment construction holds. One is free because it is arithmetic; the other costs credits because it is a second render.

Not always. If the result is genuinely defective, describe what is wrong and ask for a free fix: on Pro and above our reviewer checks your complaint against your stored garment reference, and a confirmed defect is regenerated free — three a day on Pro, five on Business and above, once per image. Outside those bounds the same anchored correction costs 1 credit, and the price is shown before you click.

No. Reuse inputs restages any past generation — its product photos and its shoot settings — back into the wizard in one click, at no credit cost. Nothing is generated until you press Generate, so you can change one thing and re-run the same shoot on a new colourway.
