Shopify: connect your store, import product photos, publish model photos
Connect a Shopify store to CatalogX, bring a product's photo in as the garment, and add the finished model photos to that product — from the Shopify panel or straight from your Gallery.
Connect your Shopify store once and CatalogX can bring any product's photo in as the garment for a shoot, then add the finished model photos to that same product. Connecting and publishing are free on every plan; generating photos uses credits as usual.
Connect your store
- Open Shopify in the sidebar, under Marketplace Listings.
- Enter your store's address —
your-store.myshopify.com, or justyour-store— and tap Connect store. Use the myshopify.com address, not a custom domain. - Approve CatalogX on Shopify's screen. You come straight back to CatalogX with the store connected and its products listed.
CatalogX can only read your products and add images to them. It never sees orders, customers or payments. You can connect more than one store.
Use a product's photo as the garment
In the Shopify panel, search for the product and tap one of its photos. A new shoot opens with that photo already set as the garment — pick the model, pose and background as usual and generate.
Publish model photos to a product
- From the Shopify panel: tap Publish images to this product on a product, then tap any of your recent CatalogX images. Tap Load more images to go further back (the last 30 days).
- From your Gallery: open any image and tap Send to Shopify, then choose the product. If no store is connected yet, the same button walks you through connecting first and brings you back to that image.
The image is added to the end of the product's media, with the product title as its alt text. It can take a minute to appear in your Shopify admin; reorder or delete it there like any other product image.
What is not pushed to Shopify
Titles, bullets and descriptions are not written into Shopify. To get written listing copy, build a Listing Pack — it writes the title, bullets and description for each product — and paste or upload it yourself.
Disconnect
Tap Disconnect next to the store in the Shopify panel. Uninstalling CatalogX from your Shopify admin also removes its access.
If something goes wrong
- "Connect the store again": the connection was revoked or has expired — tap Connect store again.
- "Enter your store's myshopify.com address": use the
.myshopify.comaddress shown in your Shopify admin, not your storefront domain. - The image does not show up yet: Shopify processes new media in the background; give it a minute and refresh the product page.
